PHASES OF WATER: SOLID, LIQUID & GASEOUS (2 of 4)
Ice Becomes Liquid When Heated Above 0 deg. C.
Water in liquid state takes on form of container. Melting ice is favored by entropy but disfavored by enthalpy. The entropy & enthalpy terms for both processes balance each other at 0 deg C.
