COMPARING SPECIFIC HEAT CAPACITY
Aluminum Melts More Paraffin Than Lead
(5 of 5)
A metal with a higher Specific Heat Capacity- the quantity of energy needed to raise temperature of a unit 1 degree- is a better conductor. (Al=900; Pb=128). Raised to the same temperature, aluminum holds and releases more heat to melt more paraffin.
