ANTHOCYANIN: RED CABBAGE pH INDICATOR
(Variations Available)
The Pigment Molecule Flavin Is Affected By pH.
Solution color responds to changes in pH or hydrogen ion concentration. Very acidic solutions donate hydrogen ions, have low pH & will turn the flavin red, neutral turns purple, bases accept H+ ions & turn greenish-yellow. Range of pH represented is 1-10
