PHENOL RED: ACID-BASE INDICATOR.In Solutions of HCl(aq), NaOH(aq) & NaCl(aq)<br />
Left to Right: Phenol red is YELLOW in an acid solution of 0.10M hydrochloric acid, ORANGE in a neutral solution of 0.10M sodium chloride and RED in a basic solution of 0.10M sodium hydroxide. The effective range of phenol red is about pH 6.8 to 8.4.
