TYNDALL EFFECT: LIGHT BEAM IS VISIBLE IN A COLLOID
Light Scattering By Colloidal Particles
Colloidal particles are so small that bombardment by the molecules of the medium keeps the particles in suspension. Their random motion is Brownian motion. The solution on the right is not colloidal & the light beam remains invisible.
