KJEHLDAHL DIGESTION TO DETERMINE AMMONIA CONTENT (3 of 4)
Stir bar & pH probe placed in beaker. NaOH is added in 1 mL increments with pH recorded & graphed until solution has become cloudy & pH has stabilized. Calculations based on the graph & recorded quantities show the percent of ammonia in the salt.
