NEWTON'S COLOR DISK (3 of 4)
Fast Spin, Colors Blurred & Muddied
The eye retains images for very short periods of time. As the disk spins the color impulses reaching the eye will overlap resulting in a combination of colors. The faster the impulses (spin) the less distinct the colors become until the disk looks gray.
