NaClO Quickly Bleaches Fabric
In water, NaClO partially splits into the sodium cation Na+ and the hypochlorite anion ClO-The oxidizing power of the hypochlorite anion, as well as hydrolysed hypochlorous acid, causes the bleaching effect.
