REACTION OF DICHROMATE WITH IODIDE
Adding Potassium Iodide To Sodium Dichromate
A redox reaction occurs between the 0.2M clear iodide solution, KI, & the 0.1M orange dichromate solution, Na2Cr2O7, producing a deep amber solution containing the Cr3+ (aq) and I2 (aq) ions. (Soon after mixing solutions.)
