ZINC IN SULFURIC ACID IN A CLOSED SYSTEM
Yields ZnSO4 (aq) & H2(g)
Metallic zinc reacts with 0.1M H2SO4 in a stoppered Buchner flask. H2(g) released by the reaction, inflates the sidearm balloon. Heat generated by the reaction is measured by thermocoupled sensor.
