REACTION OF NICKEL CHLORIDE WITH SODIUM HYDROXIDE - 2 of 2
Formation of Nickel Hydroxide & Sodium Chloride
When the clear solution of NaOH is added to the green solution of NiCl2, a white precipitate of Ni(OH)2 is formed with NaCl in solution. Nickel(II) Hydroxide is found in some types of alkaline batteries.
