MOLECULAR GEOMETRY SHOWN BY BALLOONS
(4 of 5) Five Balloons Give A Trigonal Bipyramidal Geometry
Valence shell electron pair repulsion (VSEPR) demonstrated by tying balloons representing electron pairs together. Phosphorus Pentachloride, PCl5, has a five electron pair geometry where the Cl atoms are at nearly 90' and at a 120' bond angle.
