COBALT CHLORIDE: CHEMICAL EQUILIBRIUM
Solutions of Blue CoCl4 & Pink Co(H2O)6
If chloride concentration is low, the equilibrium lies to the right and the solution is pink. With excess chloride, the equilibrium tends to the left- the solution tends to be blue. 1:1 0.5M CoCl2 & 12.5M HCl to cause color shift.
