DENSITY OF MERCURY AND WATER COMPARED
Demonstration of Immiscibility.
Mercury is poured from graduated cylinder into flask. When water is poured after mercury, the density of mercury prevents the water from permeating to form solution. This experiment demonstrates immiscibility and phase differences in these two liquids.
