LITHIUM FLAME TEST(Li2CO3)
Red Flame Shows Presence Of Lithium (Alkali metal)
Lithium compound is dissociated by flame into gaseous atoms, not ions. The atoms of the element are raised to excited state by high temperature of flame. Excess energy from the atom is emitted as light of a characteristic wavelength.
