CELL STRUCTURE
Centriole TEM 120,000x mag
Within the centrosome there is a pair of centrioles, each made up of a ring of nine groups of microtubules. During mitosis, the centrosome divides and the centrioles replicate, and the microtubules grow into a "spindle". Cell of a Sprague Dawley rat.
