CESIUM FLAME TEST
Red-violet Flame Shows Presence of Cesium
Cesium compound is dissociated by flame into gaseous atoms, not ions. The atoms of the element are raised to excited state by high temperature of flame. Excess energy from the atom is emitted as light of a characteristic wavelength.
