PRECIPITATION: LEAD CHLORIDE

Supersaturation Results in Precipitation.
100ml of clear 0.4M NaCl(aq) in cylinder added to 150ml of .3M Pb(NO3)2 in beaker. Sodium & nitrate salts are soluble in water: only solid white PbCl2 can precipitate. The IP (ion product) > Ksp indicating supersaturation & precipitation.
