WHITE LIGHT IS REFRACTED BY A TRIANGULAR PRISM
Forming a spectrum of its component colors
The light source passes through a slit focusing the light beamed at the prism. The refractive index of the prism substance varies for the different wavelengths of visible light which is thus separated to form a spectrum.
