STATIC & KINETIC FRICTION - CAR SLIDING DOWN SLOPE (2 of 2)
Rear Wheels Locked- Blue Car
With the rear wheels locked the car spins out & crashes. A rolling tire is an example of static friction- the contact point is instantaneously at rest with the road. A locked tire has kinetic friction- the contact point skies on the road.
