CALCIUM HYDROXIDE Ca(OH)2
White Powder or Colorless Crystal
Obtained by mixing or "slaking" calcium oxide with water. Its many uses include sewage treatment, hair removal, fungicide, dry mixes for paint and whitewash, mortar and plaster. It is marginally soluble in water.
