HCL REACTS WITH AL TO PRODUCE HYDROGEN GAS
6HCl + 2Al = 2AlCl3 + 3H2(gas)
HCl added to a small piece of aluminum (Al) in test tube reacts violently in a single replacement chemical reaction. Aluminum replaces hydrogen as the cation. Displaced hydrogen gas is released in the form of bubbles.
