PHOSPHORUS MOON DEMONSTRATION (Close Up)
(3 of 8 - Variations Available).
Combustion of Red Phosphorus in An O2 Atmosphere
A vacuum is created by the combustion which draws the water in the beaker up the tube of the flask. When the water in the tube combines with the P2O5 solid suspension, it yields phosphoric acid, HPO3 and the indicator color changes to red as this occurs.
