OVERCOMING THE INERTIA OF KETCHUP
Hitting The Side Of The Upturned Bottle
The ketchup at the bottom of the bottle is at rest and remains at rest as the bottle rebounds upward in response to the blow. This use of Newton's first law separates the ketchup from the bottle.
