LE CHATELIER'S PRINCIPLE: NO2 & N2O4 - TEMPERATURE<br />
N2O4 Gas Is Colorless in Freezing Temperatures<br />
Dinitrogen Tetroxide gas -N2O4- frozen in an ice bath, is almost colorless. As N2O4 (g) is warmed to room temperature (flask at right) it regains color. Its boiling point it is partially converted to brown Nitrogen Dioxide gas -NO2-.
